At the fifth annual Green Vehicle Convention, held November 12-14 in Beijing, Lear China received the Advanced Green Vehicle Components Supplier Award—the only recognition given at the event for an automotive component supplier.
During the conference, Di Xinhui, Lear’s high power engineering manager, gave a presentation on our high power technology to an audience of more than 150 representing OEMs, government officials and key suppliers. After speaking on the topic of “On Board Chargers: Cutting Edge Technology at an Affordable Price for the New Market Players,” he then joined four other subject matter experts for a panel discussion covering China’s new energy vehicle market and its future.
“This is the premier event where manufacturers, suppliers and government officials can get together and discuss in detail the future of the electrical vehicle in China,” said Xinhui. “There is a great deal of conversation about this around the world, and here in China this is the main place to present our ideas and team to the important people in the industry.”
Other significant speakers ranged from OEMs such as BYD Daimler, GM, Dongfeng, Volkswagen, FAW, SAIC and Chang’an to smaller vehicle start-up companies and governmental departments.
“Given the complex issues regarding electric vehicles and hybrids from technology to the environment, it’s important that the Lear China team can display our capabilities in High Power to senior representatives.” explained Jay Kunkel, president of Asia-Pacific operations. “We’re proud of this award and thank everyone on the team for contributing in another effort to highlight our company.”
