Newsroom Lear Announces Executive Appointments


SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA), a leading global supplier of automotive seating, electronics and electrical distribution systems, announced today that Wendy L. Foss has been elected to the position of corporate secretary in addition to her responsibilities as vice president - Finance and Administration, and Liam E. Hart has been promoted to deputy general counsel, effective immediately. Both Foss and Hart will report to Daniel A. Ninivaggi, executive vice president and general counsel.


"Wendy and Liam are experienced professionals who have excellent track records in areas of increasing responsibility," commented Dan Ninivaggi. "Wendy's experience as deputy corporate secretary, chairperson of our Corporate Compliance Committee, assistant controller and a variety of other Finance and Administration positions make her the perfect candidate for this expanded role."

"As deputy general counsel, Liam will assume greater management responsibility of legal matters in addition to overseeing our outside counsel relationships in North America," added Ninivaggi. Foss earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master of Science degree in Finance from Walsh College. A Certified Public Accountant, Foss sits on the Finance Committees for the Visiting Nurse Association, Inc. and Inforum (formerly known as the Women's Economic Club).

Hart earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration from Kalamazoo College and his Juris Doctorate summa cum laude from the University of Detroit School of Law, where he was a senior editor for the Law Review.
