Lear Sweeps the Top J.D. Power Seating Awards Luxury Market

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 26, 2018 -- Lear Corporation (NYSE :LEA ), a leading global supplier of automotive seating and electrical systems, is proud to announce that it has received three awards from J.D. Power's Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study in recognition of producing the highest quality seats within the luxury car and SUV markets for 2018.

Lear has a long history in luxury and performance seating. Lear's Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Porsche 911 seats tied for first place within the luxury cars segment and were recognized for their superior excellence. Additionally, Lear's Audi A6 seat was next in line for the luxury car segment, producing a clean sweep for Lear within this category. Lear's BMW X6 seats were distinguished as the highest quality seats within the luxury SUV market.

The 2018 J.D. Power Awards rankings were based on the J.D. Power 2018 Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study™, which took responses from more than 75,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2018 model-year cars and light trucks registered in November to December 2017 and January to February 2018. The study was fielded from February through May 2018.
