SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 29, 2019 -- Lear Corporation, a global automotive technology leader in seating and electrical and electronic systems, announced today that it priced an underwritten public offering of $375 million in aggregate principal amount of 4.250% senior unsecured notes due 2029 and $325 million in aggregate principal amount of 5.250% senior unsecured notes due 2049. The offering is expected to close on May 1, 2019, subject to market conditions and other factors.
The Company intends to use a portion of the net proceeds of this offering to redeem the outstanding $325 million aggregate principal amount of the Company's 5.375% Senior Notes due 2024 (the "2024 Notes") at a price equal to 102.688% of the principal amount of such 2024 Notes plus accrued and unpaid interest up to, but not including, the redemption date. The remaining proceeds will be used to pay a portion of the purchase price for the previously announced acquisition of Xevo Inc.
