Carl Esposito is Senior Vice President, IDEA by Lear, effective May 2024.

IDEA (Innovative, Digital, Engineered, Automated) represents the next phase of the company’s strategy to drive growth and improve profitability by utilizing technology and automation to develop innovative products and extend its leadership in operational excellence.

Mr. Esposito joined Lear in 2019 as Senior Vice President and President of Lear’s E-Systems business. With nearly $6 billion in revenue, E-Systems develops and manufactures wire harnesses, connection systems and electronics for the world’s leading automotive manufacturers. Over the nearly five years of leading E-Systems, Carl executed the strategic plan of improving the overall business performance, streamlining the product portfolio, increasing revenue and driving customer diversification.

Previously, he served as the president of the Electronic Solutions Strategic Business Unit for Honeywell Aerospace, where he oversaw strategy, product development and sales for the $5 billion business. He led a global workforce of more than 6,500 employees and increased sales by over $1 billion in two years.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Mr. Esposito earned master’s degrees in program management and business administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He is also a licensed commercial pilot.
